Mechanical Engineering

The department was started in the year 2010-2011. Right from the inception it is committed to achieve recognition as a department of excellence with the committed work of highly experienced faculty to impart knowledge and quality education to the students. It has sound infrastructural and full-fledged laboratories and other facilities like CNC machine (Production type CNC Lathe), 3D printing technology machine also available. The department has started offering M.E programme in CIM in the year 2016-2017.

To prepare the students for successful engineering career by inculcating the leadership qualities and to encourage entrepreneurship and ethical responsibilities for the betterment of the society with respect to diversity of opinion and culture.

The goal of the mechanical engineering curriculum is to create a flexible graduate educational experience in engineering science etc.

To be proactively involved in research in the areas of Design, Thermal and Manufacturing engineering.

To develop research programmes from internal and external funding that enable the department to achieve and maintain national prominence and that are important to the economy of the country.

To create a sense of pride and need among the alumni to establish a close nexus with the alma mater.
